Blues push for Bouaddi
City are accelerating their pursuit of Ayyoub Bouaddi. Talks between the club and Lille are expected to progress today, as Enzo Maresca looks to finalise his squad before the 2026-27 season kicks off on 23rd August.
Lille's 18-year-old midfielder has caught the eye of the Blues' recruitment team. No deal has been agreed yet, but the pace of negotiations suggests City are keen to get this one over the line quickly.
Goalkeeper shuffle
James Trafford's exit to Leeds has been paired with fresh interest in Geronimo Rulli as his likely replacement. The Argentinian goalkeeper currently with Ajax could provide competition for Ederson, though no formal offer has been made.
John Stones' future has also been resolved, with the former City defender leaving the club this summer. The Blues have already seen Bernardo Silva depart in the current window.
