Midfield reshuffle on the cards
Galatasaray are keeping tabs on Tijjani Reijnders, with Manchester City open to letting the midfielder leave if they can land Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille this summer. That's according to Martin Blackburn of Sun Sport, who reports that City could sanction a departure provided director of football Hugo Viana completes a deal for the 18-year-old Lille talent.
Reijnders arrived from AC Milan in June 2025 for around £46 million. The 27-year-old had just been named Serie A's Best Midfielder for the 2024-25 campaign.
City's stance on Reijnders' potential exit is linked directly to the outcome of their pursuit of Bouaddi. The Moroccan teenager impressed for his country at the FIFA World Cup and for Lille in Ligue 1, marking him out as one of the most exciting teenage midfielders in European football.
Enzo Maresca's side have already seen Bernardo Silva and John Stones leave this summer. A move for Bouaddi would add young legs to a midfield that is being reshaped ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Pre-season begins against Inter Milan on 1st August. Whether Reijnders is part of that squad may depend on how quickly Viana can get a Bouaddi deal over the line.
