Blues head to Portugal with questions still to answer

City cross to Porto on Tuesday night with their Champions League group stage getting under way at the Estádio do Dragão, and Enzo Maresca will want a clearer picture of his options before kick-off at 8pm UK time.

The squad flew out on the back of Saturday's 1-0 win over Coventry City, but the fallout from that afternoon at the Etihad has left the manager with at least one fresh headache.

Doku still watching from the sidelines

Jérémy Doku remains City's only confirmed injury absentee. The Belgian winger has been out since picking up a calf problem in the Community Shield defeat to Arsenal, and he has now missed all three Premier League games.

Maresca initially suggested the injury would keep Doku out for around two to three weeks. Speaking before the Coventry game, he confirmed the winger was still unavailable, and there is as yet no confirmed date for his return.

O'Reilly the late worry

Nico O'Reilly was named in the starting XI against Coventry but never made it onto the pitch. A back problem suffered during the warm-up forced him out, with Enzo Fernández drafted in as his late replacement.

Maresca was quick to play the issue down afterwards.

"In warm up O'Reilly felt something in his back, not serious."

Even so, there has been no confirmation that the youngster will be available against Porto. That one is very much to be assessed.

Ndiaye and Nunes: no alarms

Iliman Ndiaye's City debut ended with a bit of a scare when he needed treatment before being replaced by Ryan McAidoo after 87 minutes. The summer signing himself was quick to ease any concerns.

"No, no [nothing serious]. A little bit of cramp."

There is currently nothing to suggest he will miss the trip to Portugal. Matheus Nunes, meanwhile, is back in the squad after his recent fitness problem, having been named among the substitutes on Saturday.

So the picture going into Tuesday is reasonably clear, apart from one nagging doubt. Maresca's pre-match press conference in Portugal on Monday evening should provide the final fitness update before the game.

This tracker will be updated throughout the season as City's injury and fitness picture changes.
