Blues begin talks for Kroupi
Manchester City have made initial contact with Bournemouth over the future of their forward Eli Junior Kroupi. The 19-year-old has become one of Europe's most sought-after young talents since his move from Lorient, and the Blues have asked for information this month, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Kroupi's versatility is a key draw. He can play as a central striker, an attacking midfielder, or on the left wing. That flexibility could be useful for Enzo Maresca's squad as they prepare for the new season.
Bournemouth are likely to demand around £80 million for the teenager. With no release clause in his contract, which runs until 2030, they hold a strong negotiating position. The Cherries have already turned down advances for another forward, Antoine Semenyo, when City came calling in January.
New Bournemouth manager Marco Rose wants to keep Kroupi for at least the upcoming 2026/27 campaign. That makes any deal complicated this summer.
Any move for Eli Junior Kroupi looks unlikely to progress meaningfully before next January or summer at the earliest.
City may have to wait. For now, the Blues have done their groundwork — the rest depends on Bournemouth's resolve and the price tag.
