First summer move confirmed
Manchester City's summer window is gathering pace. Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Wednesday that Mathys Detourbet has been sent out on loan to Monaco, just hours after arriving at the Etihad.
The 19-year-old winger was signed from Troyes in a €25m package, with the deal structured to send him straight out for more game time. According to RMC Sport's Fabrice Hawkins, the loan can be extended through to 2028 and includes a recall clause in City's favour.
It's a familiar pattern for the club — secure a promising young talent and find him competitive minutes elsewhere. Monaco will provide that stage for now.
