Marmoush set to follow Sávio out the door as Spurs raid City's attack
Omar Marmoush is close to becoming the second City attacker to trade the Etihad for north London in the space of a week, with Sky Germany reporting a full agreement with Tottenham over a deal worth up to €70m.
The Egypt international will initially join on loan, with an obligation to buy for around €58m. A further €12m could be payable in bonuses, of which €6m are described as guaranteed. He is reported to be undergoing his medical and is expected to sign a contract until 2030, with Spurs holding an option for a further year.
It was only on Sunday that Sky Germany reported Marmoush had agreed personal terms but that negotiations between the clubs were ongoing, with no final agreement and the structure of the transfer yet to be settled. That loose end now appears tied.
The transfer is not yet official, but the reported agreement leaves Marmoush close to becoming the latest player to leave Enzo Maresca's squad this summer.
City signed the forward from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 on a contract until 2029. Sky Germany adds that Frankfurt will not receive a sell-on payment from this deal.
Marmoush follows Sávio, who completed an initial £75m transfer to Tottenham on Tuesday, with a further £10m potentially payable in add-ons. Two attackers, two moves to the same club, one window. Tottenham's recruitment drive is coming at City's expense, and the Blues' attack is suddenly looking thinner than it did a fortnight ago.
