Marmoush heading for the exit?
Omar Marmoush has agreed terms with Tottenham Hotspur, with talks between the two clubs now at an advanced stage. The Egypt international appears to be closing in on a move back to London, just 18 months after arriving at the Etihad.
According to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg, Marmoush and Spurs have reached a full verbal agreement. The same reporter expects a deal to be wrapped up unless there is a late twist in negotiations, though neither club has yet made anything official.
Talks between Tottenham and City are described as advanced, with Plettenberg expecting an agreement to be reached unless there is a late change in the negotiations.
The Guardian, meanwhile, suggests Spurs are closing in on a deal worth around £75m for the 27-year-old. Reuters and ESPN confirmed on Friday that the clubs are in negotiations.
Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 for a reported £59m. Since then, he has been competing for attacking minutes in a squad built around Erling Haaland, and a return to the capital now looks increasingly likely.
Spurs are also close to completing a separate deal for City winger Savinho, with the Brazilian expected to move for an initial £75m plus add-ons. That would make for a significant summer of outgoings on City's attacking front, though nothing has been signed off just yet.
