Enzo Maresca has named Ayyoub Bouaddi, Elliot Anderson and Enzo Fernandez together in midfield for the first time against Brighton at the Etihad Stadium today.
The three players will start as City host a Brighton side managed by Fabian Hurzeler. The Seagulls sit third in the Premier League table and have been one of the elite teams to begin the 2026-27 season.
The trio previously played the second half of City's 4-2 defeat to PSG as a unit. Maresca has now decided to hand them a start from the off.
Brighton's early form makes them dangerous opposition, but City's midfield selection signals the manager's intent to control the game from the first whistle.
