City's Injury Picture Ahead of Forest Clash
Manchester City turn their attention to Saturday's Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest, and Enzo Maresca's squad is in decent health.
Semenyo remains unavailable until December because of a knee problem. Maresca gave an update last week, saying: "He's good. He's in a good mood. He's in the building, doing the recovery sessions and the therapy that he needs, but it's too early for now."
Jesus is also sidelined. The forward will not be back from his calf injury until after the international break, while Savona faces a couple more weeks out with a knee issue.
Forest, managed by Oliver Glasner, have their own fitness concerns. Glasner said last week that Nicolas is progressing very well, will train with the team for the first time tomorrow, and should be fine for the trip to City.
Form and Context
City go into the game on the back of a late Champions League win at RB Leipzig, Erling Haaland scoring the goal. Maresca was pleased with the result and the performance.
"I am very happy for the fans who were able to be here tonight. Champions League game. Away. Germany. It's always difficult, so very happy with the three points, especially after a defeat. It's always important to win the game. Overall, I thought the performance was good."
In the league, City sit three points behind leaders Arsenal. Forest are second from bottom, with six points from nine games and no win in five.
