City secure defender until 2031
Abdukodir Khusanov has committed his long-term future to the Blues. The centre-back has signed a new five-year contract, keeping him at the Etihad until the summer of 2031.
The 22-year-old joined from Lens in January 2025. City paid a reported £33.5m to bring him in. He became the first Uzbekistan international to play in the Premier League.
Khusanov has made 47 appearances across all competitions since arriving. His development has been rapid. That trajectory now has a formal reward.
