Stones Signs for Inter
John Stones has become an Inter Milan player. Inter Milan have confirmed the signing of the defender, who left Manchester City when his contract expired at the end of last season. The England international has signed a contract with the Serie A side which expires in June 2028.
After playing for Manchester City for a decade, the 2025-26 season was John Stones’ final campaign as a City player. The elegant centre-back won every major trophy available during his time at the club.
The past two seasons saw Stones battle constant injury issues. That did not stop him playing a crucial role for England at this summer’s World Cup, so it has taken time for him to find a new home.
Stones was a free agent after his contract with Manchester City expired at the end of the 2025-26 season.
Inter should suit him as he plays in the latter stages of his illustrious career. A fresh start in Italy awaits.
