Manchester City's 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday came at a cost, with Erling Haaland's fitness now the primary concern ahead of a busy run of fixtures.
Haaland scored twice in the win, but his afternoon ended with a worrying sight as he limped off at the final whistle, unable to run.
The striker had been tangled up with an Ipswich player earlier in the match. It was not clear whether he had his foot stepped on or suffered a more serious injury.
Manager Enzo Maresca initially said he had no information on Haaland's condition, but later revealed that the Norwegian had told him he was OK.
City's next match is against AEK Athens in the Champions League on Tuesday, and Haaland's availability will be a major talking point.
There are further concerns for Maresca. Antoine Semenyo, who did not start, appeared to have a hamstring issue and could not run at full speed in his limited time on the pitch. Maresca said the only player they need to wait a little bit for is Antoine.
Matheus Nunes, Nico O'Reilly, and Mateo Kovacic were also dealing with some unknown new issues, leaving City with a growing list of fitness worries.
The Blues have four more matches before the end of October, a schedule that will test the squad's depth.
