U-turn on the cards for Grealish

Jack Grealish could be handed a lifeline at the Etihad. Reports suggest the club have reversed their stance on the £100 million signing after a request from new manager Enzo Maresca.

The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Everton. That deal included a £50m option to buy, which has not been triggered.

Maresca's intervention appears to have altered the club's thinking. It is a sharp reversal from the position just a few months ago, when a departure looked inevitable.

Grealish will now get the opportunity to prove his worth under Maresca's stewardship.
