Forest join the queue for Reijnders as City set their price
Nottingham Forest have joined the growing list of clubs keeping tabs on Tijjani Reijnders, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the City midfielder has attracted genuine interest from the City Ground.
Oliver Glasner is keen to bolster his engine room before the window shuts, and the Dutch international fits the profile. Whether Forest are prepared to meet the asking price, however, is another matter.
City have slapped a £55-60m valuation on Reijnders, according to Simon Jones of the Mail. That figure will give any suitor pause, but it has not deterred everyone. Juventus and Galatasaray are also mentioned as potential destinations.
Reijnders, for his part, is said to be open to leaving the Etihad. That is not a surprise. A player of his age wants regular football, and with the competition for places in City's midfield, minutes are not guaranteed.
The question now is whether anyone actually stumps up the cash. Forest's interest looks genuine, but the fee is significant. If someone meets the valuation, there is a conversation to be had. If not, Reijnders stays put.
