City's Perfect Start Meets Sunderland's Struggles
Manchester City return to Premier League action on Sunday, hosting Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium. Diarra is also sidelined, with Le Bris recently commenting: "Habib is in the middle of his recovery." He is expected back after the international break, around mid-October. Mandava remains suspended until after the international break following a red card.

Foden will serve a longer suspension after his red card in the Manchester derby was deemed violent conduct. Doku could return from his calf issue, with the City boss saying this week: "Jeremy is quite close - we are happy!" The winger will be assessed ahead of this one.
City's formidable home record and Sunderland's poor start suggest a routine afternoon, but with Foden out and Doku a doubt, the manager may need to shuffle his pack. The Blues will be keen to maintain their perfect league record.
