Club dismisses interest in Portuguese defender
Manchester City have made their position on Ruben Dias unambiguous after a recent report claimed Real Madrid had tested the waters over a potential move this summer.
City have apparently ‘firmly rejected’ enquiries from the Spanish giants regarding the centre-back, who has been a key figure under Pep Guardiola since arriving at the Etihad.
Dias joined City from Benfica in September 2020 on a six-year contract, with the club paying a fee of £65 million for his services. The 29-year-old has since become a cornerstone of the defence, and in August 2025 he signed a new four-year deal.
There has been no suggestion from the City end that they would entertain any offer for the Portuguese international.
