Manchester City have entered the chase for Boca Juniors attacking midfielder Tomas Aranda, according to reports in Argentina. The 19-year-old is said to be on the City Football Group radar, with claims he has been placed high on the list of priority targets.

Aranda, who already has Arsenal sniffing around this summer, reportedly has a £15m release clause in his current deal. The north London side have been linked with the teenager in recent weeks, but City’s interest now adds another layer to proceedings.

Whether the Blues formalise that interest remains to be seen. For now, the City Football Group machine has at least clocked the player’s name.
