Instead, the initiative has shifted to Real Madrid.

The Ivory Coast international, signed by Leipzig for around €20 million after a breakout Bundesliga season, is said to have only opened the door to Real Madrid since agreeing personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain in June.
Real Madrid are now in club-to-club talks with Leipzig, while PSG continue working to convert those personal terms into a formal bid. With both clubs actively engaged, City risk being forced to look elsewhere for wide reinforcements. Savinho remains linked with a move to Tottenham, but no alternative for Diomande has been publicly identified.
