Neto on the Radar

Manchester City have joined the chase for Chelsea winger Pedro Neto, according to reports. The Portuguese international is being monitored by Enzo Maresca’s side, alongside Liverpool and clubs in Saudi Arabia.

The Daily Mail states that City are among those weighing up a move for the 24-year-old. Neto only joined Chelsea last summer from Wolves, but his first season at Stamford Bridge was disrupted by injury.

Chelsea Open to Sale

It is believed that Chelsea are not against selling Neto. That could open the door for City to make an approach, though competition from Liverpool and Saudi sides may complicate matters.

Neto is a left-footed winger who can play on either flank. He has six caps for Portugal and scored three goals in 11 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last term.

Whether Maresca sees him as a direct replacement for someone who has left, or simply as extra depth, remains to be clarified. What is clear is that City are doing their homework.
